As we prepare to open our beautiful new Middleton-Burney Elementary School campus, we want to share important information regarding student transportation and dismissal procedures for the upcoming school year.
The safety of our students remains our highest priority. Due to the absence of sidewalks and designated pedestrian access routes to the new campus, it is unsafe for students to walk or ride bicycles to and from school.
For the 2026–2027 school year, student transportation will be limited to the following methods:

Parent/Guardian Vehicle Drop-Off and Pick-Up
We are pleased to share that all Middleton-Burney Elementary School students are eligible for bus transportation. Families are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this service as a safe and convenient option for getting students to and from school each day.
To ensure a safe, orderly, and efficient dismissal process, all students who are transported by their parents must be picked up through the designated car rider line. Parents should remain in their vehicles and follow established traffic patterns during arrival and dismissal.
Parking on campus and walking to the student pickup area to retrieve children will not be permitted except for pre-approved circumstances authorized by school administration. This procedure is necessary to maintain student accountability, reduce traffic congestion, and ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families during dismissal.
We understand that these procedures may be different from those at our current campus, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we transition into our new school. Detailed information regarding traffic flow patterns, car rider procedures, and bus transportation will be shared prior to the start of the school year. Our goal is to create a safe and efficient environment for every Raider from the moment they arrive until they return home each day.
