As we get ready to welcome students back on August 11th for the 2025–2026 school year, we encourage all families to prioritize student health and safety now. Please ensure your child’s required vaccinations and physical examinations are up to date before the first day of school. Vaccinations can be completed through your child’s healthcare provider or the Putnam County Health Department. If your student will need prescription medication or treatments during school hours, please provide a current, signed physician order. Over-the-counter medications require a signed parent consent form. This initiative is part of the broader Space Florida Academy Program, a collaborative effort with Space Florida, the Florida Department of Education, the Department of Commerce, REACH Office, and CareerSource Florida, aimed at equipping students with high-demand skills in aviation, manufacturing, cybersecurity, logistics, and more. Congratulations to Brooklyn Davis, Ava Mishanetz, Dyana Valdez, Kendall Torsanko for completing 75 hours of tutoring as part of the R.A.I.S.E. High School Tutoring Program. Completing a minimum of 75 hours earns these students the designation from the Florida Department of Education as a New Worlds Scholar for Putnam County School District. The mission of the R.A.I.S.E. High School Tutoring program is to recruit, train and deploy eligible high school juniors and seniors who are dedicated to instilling a love of reading and improving literacy skills for K-3rd grade students. We have accomplished this mission!

Rams, St. Johns River State College will hold an Open House on its Palatka Campus Tuesday, March 11 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm. It’s free and open to the public. Open House is a self-guided tour where guests can explore the campus at their own pace and talk with faculty regarding the A.A. Degree and 40+ other programs, including our 10 new programs! SENIORS: Local scholarships are continuing to come in. If you are planning on going to college or trade/tech school, this is a great opportunity for you to apply for some scholarships and possibly get additional financial assistance. There is a bin that says "Scholarships" right outside of Stout and Besley's office in guidance for you to look through and grab the scholarships that you wish to apply for. Please continue to check the bin regularly as new ones will be arriving each week. If you have any questions, please see Stout or Besley.

We are beyond thrilled to celebrate our incredible JROTC Robotics Team for their amazing performance at the 2025 VEX Robotics State Championship this past Saturday, Feb. 22, at USF in Tampa! 🏆 2nd Place out of 31 teams 🏅 Winner of the Design Award — recognizing their exceptional organization and engineering design process Your hard work, innovation, and teamwork are inspiring — and we couldn’t be more proud! #ProudtobePCSD

Attention students and families! Prom is April 26th! Please review the criteria for attending prom. ALL students must meet the criteria in order to attend prom! We are looking forward to a fabulous prom night!

The week is National School Counseling Week! School counselors work hard to help students succeed. Thank you Mrs. Besley, Mrs. Stout and Mrs. Phillips for all you do to support our students. We sure appreciate you all!

On Tuesday, January 28th Mrs. Brittani Phillips was honored as the Teacher of the Year and Mrs. Michelle Johnson was honored as the Support Person of the Year for Interlachen Jr-Sr High School at the Putnam County TOY and SOY banquet. We are so blessed to have these ladies be a part of our school. Congratulations!
