More Summer Opportunities... Experience an amazing opportunity to grow and learn at UF Engineering Summer Camp. Hello Parents and Guardians, We have partnered with the University of Florida to offer an exciting summer camp program called Goldberg Gator Engineering Explorers! Please view the attached flyer for more information about the programs being offered in our district. The camp(s) we are hosting will give students of all levels and backgrounds the opportunity to gain fundamental skills that empower them to think and feel like a computer scientist. Over the course of the camp program, students will develop hands-on experience with coding, software-hardware interfaces, and the application of design thinking to solve real-world engineering problems. Through interactive activities and design challenges, students get to see how their thinking and programming can turn into real-world projects. Students will make games, interactive pets, and more! The GGEE program is designed to be fun and accessible, emphasizing collaboration and interaction among the students, as well as the opportunity to engage with University of Florida undergraduate student mentors. We hope you will consider this opportunity for your child! Please visit https://bit.ly/RegisterGGEE24 to register your child today. Spots are limited, and the program will operate on a waitlist until the start of the program. Thank you!

Parents/Guardians: Tomorrow is the 6th-grade promotion ceremony. Here are a few things to remember. The ceremony will begin sharply at 9:00 AM. Parents will check in and enter through the cafeteria doors beginning at 8:45. Students will need to be here on time at 7:50 AM to prepare for the ceremony. Balloons will not be allowed in the building as they often block the view of the students from others. Please leave them in the vehicle during the ceremony. You may check your child out after the ceremony. Checkouts will take place outside the cafeteria. If you plan to check out your child, please do not send a backpack to school.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This year we invite all students from 3rd to 12th grade to participate in our poster contest. There will be awards for winners in both the elementary and secondary age groups. Our theme this year is Mental Resiliency – “Show us How You Bounce Back from Stress.” All posters must be completed and turned in to your guidance counselor by April 30th, 2024, and awards will be given to our winners in May. We would love to see as many posters as possible this year, so get your art supplies out and show us how you “Bounce Back.” We are also asking that everyone wear green on each Monday in May, to show our support for Mental Health Awareness. The only way we can stop the stigma is to work together! #ProudtobePCSD
